SENIOR RESEARCH ANALYST – London or Singapore

Our LNG division is seeking an experienced analyst capable of delivering comprehensive insights into the LNG market, informed by a thorough understanding of both global and local factors that influence its dynamics. The daily responsibilities of this role encompass the creation and dissemination of daily reports for our clientele, providing timely briefings to our Howe Robinson LNG brokers regarding market developments, conducting in-depth research and analysis, constructing predictive models, delivering tailored insights to clients, participating in conferences, and fulfilling the research requirements of various stakeholders. Through these activities, our research analysts play a pivotal role in maintaining Howe Robinson Partners position as a renowned source of authoritative and real-time market intelligence. As an integral member of our extensive LNG team, you will be expected to make substantial contributions towards shaping our department's perspective on the LNG markets and future view.

Senior Research Analyst key requirements:

• Build and nurture strong client relationships by understanding their unique needs, providing tailored research, and offering proactive solutions.
• Experience in managing and optimizing large databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
• Where applicable, provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, assisting in their professional development.
• Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict future trends and market dynamics in the LNG shipping industry.
• Actively engage with industry forums, conferences, and associations to stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the shipping and LNG sectors.
• A deep understanding of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) market, including key players, supply chain dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and market drivers.
• Contribute to thought leadership pieces, whitepapers, and industry publications to establish HRP as a recognized authority in the shipping sectors.
• Stay informed about relevant shipping regulations, trade policies, and environmental initiatives that may impact the industry.

Senior Research Analyst Essential requirements:

• Academic background preferably in a quantitative subject such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, etc or Shipping.
• 2+ years of research experience in the shipping market.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI and E-views.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and organisational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to write technically and concisely or deliver analysis verbally in an engaging style about the complex subject matter.
• Attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
• Proactive approach to data and information management.

• Ability to work both in a team and as an individual when handling client requests or undertaking value-added projects and analysis.
• An understanding of the global LNG market would be preferred.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience
